Peaches and Herb knew their way around a love song. Lush harmonies enveloped romantic lyics like sweet cream on a warm afternoon. They presented the relationship front and center...always cause for inspiration AND intrigue.
This past Sunday, the Spiritual Living Center of Atlanta celebrated relationships in a recommitment ceremony held in the facility's sanctuary. Twenty-four couples participated, with one couple actually exchanging wedding vows. ( Congratulations Susan and Marla!) Each couple had the opportunity to share their own unique love story. Some were humorous, others thoughtful, but all shared a common thread of love and experience. The ceremony proved to be truly moving as evidenced by a number of moistened tissues; the afternoon's most poular accessory!
2000 A.D. provided a richly appointed backdrop for the event, which featured a handmade garland of magnolia and elaegnus pungens, accented with cattleya orchids, suspended glass orbs and a moss covered heart. A massive monochromatic composition of lilies, roses and hydrangeas provided a dramatic focal for the featured couples.
