WE ARE ORLANDO
WE...in the most literal sense...all gathered...TOGETHER!
A moving and memorable experience of life occurred today at The Spiritual Living Center of Atlanta. An experience that recognized and honored the victims of the Orlando massacre in a somber and beautiful expression of solidarity in thought, word and deed.
An empty and imposing chalice graced the sanctuary at the opening service. Each congregant received a flower, a length of wire and a name of one of the victims as they entered the sanctuary. A tribute ensued that honored each individual with a vocal and floral recognition, and a procession to include the blossom, as a singular aspect of the whole, delivered by members that were associated with each of the names.
The blossoms and names came together to create a spectacular composition, reflecting the colors of the rainbow.
