A CELEBRATION OF LOVE, TRAVEL AND CLASSIC AMERICAN LITERATURE!
We caught you scratching your head on this one!
What do these three seemingly unrelated subjects have to do with a wedding, let alone related floral and decor?
As Desi used to say..."Lucy, you got some splaining to do"!
Let us begin by saying that love is a many splendored thing. (I've always wanted to say that in a blog!) Love blossoms in numerous ways through shared connections and mutual experience. Enter Meaghan and Justin and their fondness for travel. Nothing creates a lasting bond quite like an adventure; quality time spent together creating memories that will last forever, bringing a couple closer together.
In the same vein, literature provides the endless potential for adventure, albeit cerebral. A favorite novel, in this case "The Great Gatsby", also serves to bond through common sensibilities and lively discussion of content and characters.
So we have arrived...our job is to imagine a supporting theme that weaves ideas together in a creative tour de force.
A nautical striped fabric was introduced, creating a unifying factor with a nod to travel. Supportive propping was key in communicating the theme and included vintage luggage, maps and globes and spiring iron towers. Floral content and container finishes espoused a sophistication that was truly Gatsbyesque.
Please join us on this floral adventure and to quote Jay himself..."Can't repeat the past?...Why of course you can!"
