A SEASON TO REMEMBER!

Summer has graciously taken her final bow, leaving the stage open for Autumn's return. She is cool and graceful as the spot light reveals a colorful disposition and her flair for the dramatic.

I guess if I had to make a choice of acknowledging a favorite season there would be no hesitation...I choose Autumn! The nights are deliciously crisp and the days languish in the parting sun, casting long shadows and cause for consideration of that which has been and that which is yet to come.

Autumn provides ideal conditions for the perfect wedding, be it indoors or out. The changing landscape of nature features a deep rich palette that beautifully translates as inspiration for a timely color theme.

Agnes Scott College provided the venue for our first Autumnal wedding celebration. The chapel is warm and intimate, as inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright. By contrast, Letitia Pate Evans Hall, which hosted the reception, boats soaring cathedral ceilings and gorgeous clerestory windows that lift one's eyes and hearts to something beyond.

The floral and decor was themed around seasonal shades of purple, deep red, sand and olive greens. The metallic accent of choice was rich burnished gold, which appeared in the forms of graceful urns and gleaming luminaries. Compositions were overflowing and sumptuous, featuring

gracefully cascading fruits that added texture and interest.

The wedding was romantic and magical...the perfect introduction to the new season and the assurance that love is timeless!
